Racz Lab Melbourne

Dr. Tibor Racz finished his residency in anesthesiology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He then went on to complete a fellowship in pain management at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. There he learned under the tutelage of his father, Dr. Gabor Racz, who is an internationally recognized specialist in the sub-specialty of pain management. Dr. Racz has a special interest in neuromodulation for pain and intrathecal pump therapy for both pain and spasticity. He is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine.

Dr. Neels du Toit completed his medical degree at the University of the Free State, South Africa, before relocating to Australia in 2003. He undertook specialist training in Sports and Exercise Medicine in Brisbane and Melbourne, completing his fellowship in 2008. He has a special interest in chronic musculoskeletal pain, including spinal, joint, and groin conditions. He further subspecialized in interventional pain management, completing Spine Intervention Society training and earning fellowship with the World Institute of Pain (WIP). He focuses on restoring movement through precise diagnosis and advanced interventional techniques, including neuromodulation.

Dr Bradley Lewinsohn is a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician based in Melbourne, Australia, with a clinical focus on interventional pain management, neuromodulation, and the treatment of complex neuropathic pain conditions including persistent spinal pain syndrome and CRPS. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital Medical College, University of London, before undertaking specialist training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in the United Kingdom. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) and Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA) in London, before subsequently obtaining Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FFPMANZCA).

Dr Lewinsohn has extensive experience in advanced minimally invasive pain procedures including epidural neurolysis, spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, radiofrequency techniques, and regenerative medicine interventions. He is actively involved in education and training in interventional pain medicine and regularly teaches procedural techniques to clinicians both nationally and internationally. His interests include evidence-based interventional therapies, functional restoration, and improving patient outcomes through multimodal pain management strategies, with a particular interest in epidural adhesiolysis and advanced catheter-based spinal interventions for chronic neuropathic and post-surgical pain conditions.

Dr Buchanan is a Specialist Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Physician. He graduated from the University of Sydney and became a Fellow of ANZCA, later completing advanced training in pain medicine and earning Fellowships with the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA, and the World Institute of Pain. He is an instructor for the International Pain & Spine Intervention Society and holds several professional leadership and teaching roles. He is currently chair of the Victorian Regional Committee of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, committee member of the Australian section of the World Institute of Pain, and a member of the Economics Advisory Committee of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
